About Our Yacht Charter Experience

1980

Tum Tour Yacht Charter is founded by our father and uncle as a family business.

We acquired our first gulet, Tümer Bey, and began offering yacht charters.

In this picture you see our father Hikmet Tümer infront of his very first Tum Tour Office.

1985

Our yachts started sailing in other destinations than Marmaris, such as Bodrum, Fethiye regions.

Our uncle served as the captain of one of the yachts. In this picture you see our uncle Halil and our cousin Serhat.

1989

The company expanded, and we welcomed our second gulet, Tugcem, named after me, which means “My Tugce.”

1990

Operations grew rapidly as we began chartering and managing dozens of yachts owned by others. The marina was filled with Tum Tour flags, marking our growing presence in the yachting world. While it was busy times at the company, our beloved grandparents had time to enjoy short yacht cruises.

1997

We welcomed Gulet Segmen in our portfolio.

2000

The next generation officially joined the family business. Onur and our cousin Serhat brought fresh ideas and energy, helping the business grow further.

2004

With the help of the next generation, we established our own shipyard.

- The shipyard produced 35 beautiful handmade gulets, blending craftsmanship and tradition.

2008

We acquired Vesta as a sister company, further expanding our operations.

In our new shipyard, we crafted an additional 8 handmade gulets.

2015

Our operations extended beyond Turkey, expanding into Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece

2022

My brother Onur opened a specialized marine equipment company within the shipyard, broadening our range of services.

2025

YachtCruise.ch GmbH is born. Blending our family’s rich heritage with a modern touch, we proudly launched our new company. Here, you see Tugce and her husband Jan aboard one of our favorite yachts, Gulet Vesta 1 Sevil

The first yacht of the entire tour in 1980 was the Gulet Tümer Bey. It is now privately owned and used in Italy.

Our Story

Our story began in 1980 when our father and uncle founded Tum Tour Yacht Charter Agency in Turkey. Tum Tour was one of the first companies in the world to offer gulet yacht rental services and has always remained a family business as it continued to grow. By 1995, the business had gained significant momentum; alongside managing a fleet of 12 yachts, we operated dozens of yachts every week and ran our own shipyard in Bozburun to produce beautiful handcrafted gulets.

As two siblings, Tugce and Onur, we carried on our father’s vision, providing thousands of customers with unforgettable yacht experiences. When Tugce moved to Basel, Switzerland, the idea of YachtCruise.ch began to take shape. After spending several years developing digital solutions in other companies, the time came to bring our vision to life.

Today, as YachtCruise.ch, we take pride in offering personalized yacht charter services, helping you find the perfect yacht and crew for your next vacation.

Leyla sultan Gulet Yacht in 2008 and sold right away to an owner in Maldives. This wooden gullet yacht sailed with motor all the way from Turkey to Maldives.
